Meet the Designer.
Country Accents designs have easy country-feel with classic lines and shapes. It has evolved to adapt a more modern and contemporary silhouette embracing the current times.
The designer, Reggie Lastimoso, was born and raised in the Southern region of Philippines. He worked with various manufacturer and exporter of rattan furniture since the early 1970’s.
He started as a rattan framer while still in college. Having shown talent in jig making with ability to manage a group of rattan framers, he was offered a job in Quality Control. During his tenure, he developed furniture shop drawings, full scale drawings & trained teams to prepare & use jigs (templates) for consistent quality.
He likewise gained experience to run the production of rattan furniture for export with in depth knowledge in material procurement and costing.
He also developed his talent in Furniture Design while working with a buying office representing USA buyers.
With his two decades of experience in the furniture industry, he and his wife, Teresita, started Country Accents Inc in 1994. The company has been known as an innovator in utilizing various material combinations with intricate and distinct weaving styles in its collections.
The company has since expanded their range from rattan, wood and bamboo for indoor use to developing products for outdoor use made from aluminum, metal and 100% recyclable synthetic materials.
